ERDO - doing good...

Our Team

David Adcock – Chief executive Officer

David Adcock was born in England where he studied his two greatest passions: God and justice. He earned degrees in Law and Master of Divinity.

Moving to Canada provided significant opportunities for ministry, using both David's education and giftedness. He began his relationship with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) as a pastor. During that time he volunteered as the Assistant Coordinator for Social Concerns and Coordinator of Chaplaincy and Community Ministries.

David then worked as the National Director of World Vision Canada's NeighbourLink Program and Manager of World Vision Canada's Reception Centre. This position allowed him to understand communities across Canada. His experience at World Vision gave him a glimpse of unique regional diversity as well as common threads.

In February 1998, David joined Yonge Street Mission as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. David's responsibilities not only included overseeing ministry programs, planning and operations but also street work as he led his team to reach out to the core of downtown Toronto through economic, social and spiritual care. Yonge Street Mission gave David insight into issues related to poverty in Canada's largest city.

In the fall of 2009, David joined the team at ERDO as Chief Executive Officer. In many ways coming to ERDO solidifies his overall experience, bringing together international development, community development, justice and spiritual leadership.

In 1988, David married Maria, who is currently an associate professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. They have two children, Rachael and Evan.

Kelvin Honsinger, Director International Programs

Kelvin's passion for pursuing Christ's love and missions began at a young age. Growing up in a pastor's home in Saskatchewan, Canada encouraged his pursuit of ministry later in his life.

After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Western Ontario, Kelvin returned to Saskatoon to earn a Master of Divinity degree at Central Pentecostal College and the Lutheran Seminary, University of Saskatchewan.

After seminary Kelvin was ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) and pastored for 12 years in Sudbury, Burlington, and Mississauga. In 1991 he responded to the call to serve as Executive Director of Mission Services of Hamilton, a non-denominational, community-based charitable organization serving homeless and disadvantaged people. During 13 years in Hamilton Kelvin had the privilege of seeing Mission Services become a leading voice for the poor and grow in its Christian witness.

In April 2004 Kelvin joined the International Missions team of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada to serve as Executive Director of ERDO. During five years in this role, Kelvin has developed the ERDO team, refocused the scope of programs worldwide and strengthened the profile of ERDO with Canadian audiences. In October 2009, as part of a refreshed vision for ERDO, Kelvin assumed the role of Director of International Programs.

Kelvin resides in Burlington with Mary Lynn, his wife and inspiration for 35 years. They have three married children. In addition to serving God through missions Kelvin often shares his faith through verse and art. He has been a contributing member of the Hamilton Spectator's Community Editorial Board and in February 2000 was awarded the Canadian Church Press Award of Merit for "I Was a Stranger And You Took Me In", a title which appropriately captures his life's passion and commitment to God's people who are most vulnerable and often forgotten.
