Zimbabwe Supplementary Feeding Program

little boy eating Zimbabwe is in the middle of a food emergency. Families are struggling to grow and purchase their own food because of climate and economic shocks.

With the late start of rains this cropping season, there have been abnormally dry conditions and this year's harvest is likely to be delayed. The country is also experiencing economic shocks, with 93% of the population being impacted by food price changes, and 81% of people being impacted by cash shortages.

Families who normally rely on purchasing and growing food have been severely affected by these conditions.

To respond to this great need, we have launched a supplementary feeding program where you can help feed over 11,000 children. This program provides CSB+ (cereal) to 9,941 children under five and 1,059 children with HIV/AIDS.

The need for supplemental food assistance for children is necessary to ensure that they receive not only additional calories, but also the proteins, vitamins, and minerals that are necessary for growth.
Join us in feeding children in Tsholotsho today.

Through our membership in the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, this project will be matched 4:1 match by the Canadian government!

Your donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your generosity!
